ALLAHABAD: In the case of Rajneesh Kumar Pandey v. Union of India and others, Allahabad HC recently dismissed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) plea seeking a direction from the State Government to construct the ‘Ram Van Gaman Marg’ which means. PIL SEEKS-
To connect all such places where Lord Rama took rest at night during his forest Travel (Van Gaman/वन-गमन).
The Bench was held by Chief Justice Rajesh Bindal and Justice J. J. Munir. During a session, he observed that the issue raised by the Petitioner cannot be decided in the writ petition. Therefore, the Court dismissed the plea.
The PIL plea prayed for the following direction to the Union and the UP Governments:
- To build the proper route Ram Van Gaman Marg as per the history and evidence of Ram Van Gaman Marg.
- To make a better route to travel
- If the 4-lane construction is not possible everywhere of Ram Van Gaman Marg then the Authority concern constructs proper connectivity marg of Ram Van Gaman Marg from all places of Ram Van Gaman Marg.
- To make good connectivity will all places where Lord Ram took rest at night during the Travel of Forest (Ban Gaman).
