The modern conception of the terrorist act was initially witnessed throughout the year 2001, once the then-President of the U.S.A. used the term ‘war on terror pertaining to the September 2001 attacks, infamously known as the 9/11 attack.

On 11 September 2001, nineteen hijackers hailing from a variety of Arab countries took management of four American business aircraft shortly once kick-off and flew them into necessary buildings within the north American country. One airplane each crashed into the North and South Towers of the World Trade Centre in New York. However, in terms of loss of life, 9/11 was the foremost severe attack on north American country’s soil since the innovation of the country in 1776. The US (north American country) response to 9/11 was swift and fierce. As a region of its ‘Global War on Terror’, the US launched ‘Operation Enduring Freedom’ against all those suspected to be behind this attack, chiefly Al-Qaeda and therefore the Taliban regime in Afghanistan (an Asian nation). The Taliban regime was simply overthrown, however, remnants of the Taliban and Al Qaeda have remained potent, as is obvious from the number of terrorist attacks launched by them against Western targets since. The US forces created arrests all around the globe, typically while not the data of the government of the persons being inactive transported these persons across countries and detained them in secret prisons.

A number of them were brought to Guantanamo Bay, a US Naval base in Cuba, wherever the prisoners didn’t relish the protection of international law or the law of their own country or that of the US. Even the United Nations representatives weren’t allowed to meet these prisoners.
