RAJASTHAN: The Supreme Court recommended the name of Justice S S Shinde as the new Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court.

On March 5 Justice Akil Kureshi took retirement on March 5 from then-Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava, the senior-most Judge of the Rajasthan High Court has been the acting Chief Justice of the High Court.

In November 1995, Justice S S Shinde was appointed as an Assistant Government Pleader/Additional Public Prosecutor of the Government of Maharashtra in the High Court of Bombay, Aurangabad Bench.

Then on October 29, 1997, he was appointed as an Additional Government Advocate in the office of the Government Advocate to represent Maharashtra in the Supreme Court of India, New Delhi.
